Started up at 6:25AM and reached the summit at 9:25. Perfect weather and awesome views on this fine morning. Stayed about 35 mins then back to the TH at 12:20PM. My 39th 14'er........sweet!
Fantastic, but looooong day in the Matterhorn Creek area. It was a fatiguing day, but well worth it!

Great day out. Skied the East face then went over to Matterhorn to ski from the summit of that one too.

SE Ridge Ski
Camped in upper Matterhorn Creek and climbed from there. Didn't feel well, so I ditched my skis at 13.5. Summitted and downclimbed to my skis and skied the ridge down into the open bowls beneath the E face while the rest of my group skied the face.

Absolute Fun!
Wetterhorn Peak was one of my most favorite climbs to date. My niece and I made the summit and will share a memory that will last a lifetime. A little route finding, some challenging moves, some exposure and the reward of standing on the summit made it something that words cannot really describe. I would climb it again in a heartbeat.
Did the double peak day. I saw very few people. The different colors of the soil and the expansive area above treeline were really cool. There are some sweet looking rock outcroppings that looked like great challenges to the north.
Definitely one of my favorites! Did it in combo with Uncompahgre from Mattorhorn TH.

Wetterhorn/Matterhorn/Uncompahgre
What a great mountain in an awesome valley. I started at the Matterhorn Creek TH and had great weather on this threesome. Made the summit of Wetterhorn in 1:40 with a ctc for all three in 7:50.
I'll definately return to do this one again.

One of my top 3 favorites!
This seemed like one of the FASTEST 14er summits I've done! At #40, I compare the fun scrambling to the likes of the Crestones. We summited at 6:30am (my earliest summit). It was amazingly beautiful!!! ...we made it a duo day and hiked the L-O-N-G slog over to Uncompahgre as well!

SE RidgeThis was my first climb of Wetterhorn. We did the standard South East Ridge route from Matterhorn Creek trailhead.
