Thank you! Definitely go there if you haven't been before. It's an amazing place, and there are only a few spots in the world where there are gypsum dunes like these. Just bring your sunglasses. This place can be tough on the eyes.

Thank you, Byron. I've never had a POTD before, so that was pretty cool. I wish it had been for a climbing rather than a hiking shot, but I still appreciate all the favorable response I've gotten on this. The funny thing was that I just recently had this picture reprinted when I was thinking about making a White Sands page. So it almost never made it here!

Not finalized, but definitely the southern parts north of Dubois, and quite possibly eastern Yellowstone, the South Fork area, and west of Meteetse (from the Kirwin area).
