White Trillium (Trillium ovatum)

White Trillium (Trillium ovatum)

White trillium is a common lily in low to mid elevation forests that are generally wet in the spring. It grows in the western North America from coastal B.C. south to California and east to the northern Rockies. Though the flowers start off as white, they fade to pink and sometimes reddish-purple with age. This photo is from north Idaho.
