Re: Great shot!Thanks Dan. Actually this is Joe French climbing. He taught me a few things I did not know regarding photographer line rigging. Jeff Lowe was being filmed on Touchstone this day (30th anniversary believe it or not) thus we were inspired to take a few shots ourselves.

Re: Great shot!I am planning a few crack climbing trips in the Spring here. What is the best way to rig a camera to take shots like this? Do you have a two man team go up, clean the gear and pull the rope so that the next person can lead it while you take shots from this perspective?

Love Climbing...shots! A close up of the face makes it all the better. I have to ask. Why Canada and Utah - they are so far apart? Where do you live?

Re: Love Climbing...That is Joe, he is a local in Zion...put up a few routes around here. Cool guy. I am an alpine climber at heart Tanya, long routes requiring tedious approaches where wildlife and weather awareness is essential. Love waterfall ice as well, the kind of steep sustained routes that can't be found in the lower 48. Canmore offers all that in spades. Spent 6 full years up there. Tore my back (psoas) in half on a 140' lead fall. Back to the US to seek medical treatment and rebuild the thing. I will make it back, but for now enjoying the red rock and sun. At 44, trying to learn to relax a little. Not very good at it though. I do miss the wild country and good folks of the Canadian Rockies. Prob do 6mo-6mo like a good American citizen from now on. My wife and I have a place adjacent to Snow Canyon Park. Email me for a climb anytime. Cheers!
