Wildstrubel via Flueseeli  Sucess!

In the afternoon of September 8th I went up to the Flueseeli, stayed over night at the non-guarded refuge, left next morning at 4:00 a.m., arrived at the Lenker Strubel at 8:00 a.m. and spent the entire day up on the Wildstrubel plateau. The weather was one of the finest I've ever had in the mountains, and so clear that you could distinguish meadows from forests in the Jura way in the distance! On a day like that, the view to the Pennine Alps, the Mont Blanc massif but also to the mountains of the Pays d'Enhaut plus the large plateau of the Glacier de la Plaine Morte right below is fascinating!

Climbed from Lenz  Sucess!

Landed in Geneva from California. Drove to Lenz, slept in car and summited the next day. Found hike in lonely planet "Alps" book. 2000meter elevation gain, tiring yet rewarding hike, got altitude sick towards the top. Met two old swiss guys who overtook me 100 meters from the top. I was in bad shape when I arrived, they gave me chocolate to re-energize! Very memorable.

traverse from Lämmeren hut to Engstlingenalp  Sucess!

Going there on a public holiday this is a _very_ popular tour. But conditions and weather were great. Doing this in spring with ski is easier than walking over steep glaciers in summer
