With an approach of 6.6...
With an approach of 6.6 miles, one way, the hike to Thompson Peak is a very long day. The black dotted lines indicate snowfields which commonly do not melt during the year and pose as an obstacle for those aren't prepared with ice axes and ropes. Note: only half the route is shown here.
