Ski Woodall!
Easily found due to the Highpointers Club signage. The drive up to the top is a dirt/gravel ride with a few holes here and there, but no real issue. I had the place to myself, so my dog and I wandered around for a few minutes before our drive home. No real climb necessary. Not a great view, but it was quiet and a nice spot to relax.

State high point trifecta
Third of three state high points today. The hiking was trivial compared to the driving, but glad I had the opportunity!

Radio Silence (#3)
On a business trip to Atlanta I decided to make a few detours on the way home. Stop number 3 was Woodall Mountain. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but a hill just outside a neighborhood used for radio towers wasn't it. In any case, I did the thing, and took some pictures.

HP# 13
About a month after my first HP trip to the E/NE that got me #s 4-12...It's time for another trip E to NC, but I took a S/SE side trip to get a bunch more HPs. (HP 1 of 7 during this trip). Got here just after it was turning dark. Not much of a view, except tower facilities and trees everywhere. Just a rock in the center with a plaque and the survey seal on the ground.

High Point #13
Nice little drive up to the top through the woods... not much of a view of anything other than electronic station boxes... nice to check off the list, and a nice mailbox with a log to sign next to the high point and placard on the rock with info about the high point.

To be honest, this is not the most impressive highpoint, but it's in the books! Drive-up was slightly sketchy.

HP #20, Woodall Mountain, MS
Uneventful for my 20th Highpoint in 2020. Dark drive to the summit, no view other than transmission towers. In a bit of a rush to get on highway and head for Wisconsin.
Unknown if this is expressly permitted or forbidden?
This summitpost write up states "One could probably pitch a tent or car-camp on the summit itself, however, it is unknown if this is expressly permitted or forbidden." I didn't see any NO-Camping signs so I decided to go for it and I camped on the summit next to the rock. This was HP#42 for me and my 200th unique mountain of the 360 mountain climbs I have done in my life.

HP #43!
Simple drive to the top... with a large boulder marking the summit. I watched the sunset over the trees from here, which was pretty neat. Despite being super easy, I actually enjoyed this one :-D
My wife and I had a free couple of days so we spent Friday celebrating together and Saturday I took a 12-hour drive (round trip) to see Woodall Mountain, which has hung out there as my closest unclaimed high point for a few years. Good weekend!

Drove to the top of Mississippi after the Arkansas state highpoint. Took a pretty long detour from the standard Christmas-time drive to Indiana. It was SOOO worth it. :P)

This would be a long driving day and keeping with that theme just drove to top. The dirt road up is in pleasant forest but then the top is rather ugly and some trash strewn about. Enjoyed some fresh Cuban cigars at summit. Highpoint #39
