Yainax Butte

Taking this picture from where the Benchmark is on Yainax Butte (looking toward the west), you get an idea of how man has impacted the top of this mountain. The tower in the background is no longer functional and most likely was where the lookout would go during the day to check for fires. An abandoned cabin is right next to it. The structure with the solar panel provides some type of communications and the highest spot on the Butte is just behind it in a pile of rocks. May 2006
