Nice fall-ish hike in the North Cascades
Fun day hike with the wife.
Beautiful. See trip report.
Easy hike to both summits.
Good to get this peak!! Very much enjoy the nice scramble to the top of Yellow Aster Butte. Color is coming out!!!
Fun hike with unreal views of Baker and Shuksan.
Nice easy hike. Camped under the stars at the SW edge of the tarns where I could watch the sunset.
Amazing views all around! Camped at the tarns. If you have time, explore the basin filled with tarns! Very picturesque!
Climbed South then North summit via typical route - climbed through some pretty thick / wet fog and rain. A dog friendly hike
The scenery on this hike was just amazing. My son and I made it to the true summit. It really is a walk up to the south summit, with just a short scramble at the end to get to the true summit - which was fun. Exposure was a non-factor - although the summit block definitely just has room for one!
Sunset hike and scramble during a backpacking trip to the tarns. From the north summit descended directly to the northernmost tarn, mostly scree slopes and boot-skiable snow.
Hiked with my Aunt to the false summit, made the trek to the true high point myself and met a strange fellow putting up a radio of some kind. Best fall colors I have seen
Got to camp, set up the tent, then took a 30-minute trip up to YAB. Waited a bit and saw a great sunset.
What a piece of cake. I think the junction is a bit more than a mile. The exposure between the false and true summits is over-hyped. If you've made it to the false summit, you might as well finish it off and bag the true summit. Lots of flying ants at the summit. Bagged this after bagging Table Mountain and Huntoon point.
Combined with a spring ascent of Tomyhoi
Climbed it from Tomyhoi BC
Made it up and back right before the rain, autumn colors made for a great trip.
YAB via Keep Kool Trail with more berries than one can imagine.
Really fun. interesting landscapes.
