Zooming in on the Weißseespitze (±3500m)

Zooming in on the Weißseespitze, a border peak in the southwestern corner of the Ötztal Alps. Different sources give different elevations, varying around the 3500 m mark. Photo taken from the WSW, at Schöneben, just north of the Zehner. 21 August 2014.

3518m

Most sources give 3518 meters as the elevation of Weisseespitze (Kompass Maps, Austrian Map Online, etc.)
Some Rother books, the SP page and other sources say 3526m though.

Re: 3518m

Since it's a border peak, having two values wouldn't be too uncommon; the Austrian and South Tyrol topographical institutes may very well have different opinions. But in this case I have come across a lot more values: I've seen 3498, 3500, 3518, 3519 and 3526 m. The map with 3498 actually seems to point to somewhere just south of the summit, so that value is doubtful, but apart from that I couldn't possibly say which one is correct. Therefore I simply wrote ±3500m.

By the way, most nearby border peaks have different elevations on different maps as well.
