Zuc dal Boor from Monte Chiavals

Zuc dal Boor from Monte Chiavals

From the summit of Monte Chiavals, there is an exceptional view towards the south, on the neighbouring Zuc dal Boor. While the high N and NE walls on the left give no chances for a passage, the grassy band on the left allows for a comfortable trail. But only till the summit cone. The last 100 meters on top require a climb of UIAA III difficulty.

Beautiful!

I think I'll try to climb it this year ( but I've been told that the final climb is more difficult, probably there are a couple of passages of the IV degree ).
Happy new year to you and to your family from Nepal!

Very nice as ever

Fantastic view on Zuc dal Boor from Chiavals. It's really fenomenal peak that Zuc. I had the privilege to climb it before the earthquake destroyed the old normal ascent route, which was also demanding but partially secured, it wasn't problematic to overcome. The new route (the old one is not to be repaired)is said to be very difficult, perhaps exceeding the III degree slightly on some places. I'll try to climb it this year with an experienced mountain guide, my friend, who knows how to help an old man on such hard pitches.
Cheers, Andrej
