Yes its a wonderful place!! Zugspitze is a very huge mountain, because from the place where the photo was taken, zugspitze is about 4km away !!!

A different perspectiveA superbly clear photo Lukas. And one from a totally different perspective to the view I often get of Germany's highest mountain from the area around Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

The lesser known south side of Zugspitze is a completely different view. Instead of Höllental you have a huge wall.
The area around Ehrwald has another impressive view of Zugspitze. Cheers Lukas
