Overview
Located in Roosevelt National Forest, this TH provides primary access to the northcentral reaches of the main trail network of the Rawah Wilderness, via the Rawah Trail.
Access is seasonally limited and is tied directly to when the Laramie River Road is closed by snow. Typically the road is closed from mid Fall to late Spring.
Facilities - Small, unpaved parking lot / restrooms / no water.
Directions
From Fort Collins - Take Hwy 287 (College Ave in town) north approximately 6 miles to what's known as Ted's Place (Gas station/conveience store). Turn left onto Colo Hwy 14, heading west for approx. 51 miles to the junction with Larimer Co RD 103 (Laramie River Road). Turn right (north) onto LCR 103, following it for 11.5 miles to the TH.

The Rawah Trail leads into northcentral portions of the Rawah Wilderness, following the Rawah Creek Drainage. This trail connects with many trails in the Rawah Lakes area before terminating after 14 miles at the junction with the West Branch Trail, 3.7 mile from that TH.
Camping Options
There is no camping at or immediately near the TH but some primitive, dispersed camping may be found in some areas along the Laramie River Road, south of the TH. In addition, two Forest Service Campgrounds, Tunnel and Brown's Park, are located a few miles to the south and north, respectively.
Nearest services - Very small store with gasoline approximatley 27 miles north at Woods Landing, Wyoming.
