Description

I am planning a hike from Sequoia to Kings Canyon from twin Lake Trails.http://www.wildernet.com/pages/activity.cfm?actid=CANPSKCIO*53500hw
(anyone done that? please give me some inputs!) start from 6720ft elevation up to 9410 and back to 4635 ft again. We'd stay at JO Pass junction for over night. Both Friday and Sat night. I need to get an idea of how many would like to attend before I arrange a wildness permit. I hope you are okay with this hike and carry 25 to 30 backpack with good physical condition. Because I am't ready to carry you cross entire trail....sorry! We'd meet at Wuksachi Village and start our hike on Friday when we arrived. Friday would be a short hike of 6.9 miles from Wuksachi Village to JO Pass and long hike on Sat about 20+ miles another short hike back on Sunday. Would be a fun with great view and experience hike/backpacking trip!

Friday....drive to Wuksachi Village of Sequoia and start a short hike to JO Pass Junction. (appx. 6.9 miles Elevation 6720ft to 9410ft) steep, narrow and winding roads. NO SNOW from trail report http://www.nps.gov/archive/seki/trailtxt.htm

Sat.....from JO Pass Junction to King's canyon and back to Jo Pass Peak(appx. 20 miles Elevation 9410 ft to 4635 ft) more like day hike don't carry your pack.(Optional)

Sunday....From JO Pass Junction back to your car. (appx. 6.9 miles Elevation 9410 ft to 6720 ft) steep, narrow and winding roads. NO SNOW from the trail report http://www.valleyoutdoors.com/hikes/twin_lakes.aspx

If this interests you, I need a $15 sign up fee! Listen this is a pretty strenuous hike, you must have a great physical fitness! We are looking to cover lease 34 miles steep, narrow and winding wildness trails...sometimes might not seem like trails. Let me know ASAP....so I could arrange!

Fee covers wildness processing permit and over night campground!
