Cactus to Clouds - San Jacinto - 18 or 19 October

My wife and I were going to do this together. She's now decided to get the tram up and just do the peak, so I'm looking for a partner to hike the first bit with me (and, all being well, we'll all go on to the summit together)

This is a serious day-hike. 12 miles/8000ft up to the top of the tram, and another 5.5 miles/2400ft from there to the summit (we'll get the tram down). I'm expecting to reach the tram in about 6 hours and still have energy for the summit, so looking for a partner who is happy with that pace.

We'll be driving from Hollywood, so if you're nearby, or on the way, we can car pool.
