Description
Hi there!
I'm looking to climb 2 - 3 6000m peaks in Peru over 2-3 weeks in April/May 2009 (am thinking about Coropuna and Ampato in Arequipa). The climbs will take 3-4 days each and so there will be plenty of time to rest/party/sightsee in between the climbing!
I went to Arequipa 3 years ago and had such a great time climbing and between climbs but it isn't always easy to hook up with people to do the non-standard climbs and so I'm posting to see if anyone fancies joining, or maybe we can get a group together.
So the details...
When: 2-3 weeks from Mid April - May 2009 (flying into Lima)
Climbs (tbc): Coropuna (6425 m, 21079 ft ) and Nevado Ampato (6288 m/20630 ft)
Fitness: To climb either you'll need to have a good level of general fitness/stamina, good acclimatisation, and ideally some trekking experience at 5-6000m.
If you're interested then drop me a line and we can chat more...
Cheers,
Andy
