The combination of hospitable people, isolation and magnificent mountain scenery makes this a perfect place to trek, provided that you have a thirst for adventure, a love of nature and the strength to enjoy challenging walking. Of the four mountain ranges, the Karakoram is the most remote and wild. The area is a mountain desert whose few inhabitants live by tending their flocks. Even today, these mountains are less well explored and mapped than other comparable mountain regions, and many peaks over 6,000 meters remain unnamed and unclimbed. Trekking in the Karakoram encompasses more than just walking or backpacking along trails. Trekking is not mountaineering either, but trekking in this mountain region typically requires a greater level of fitness, self-sufficiency and competence.
We have more than 40 years of experience in organizing trekking expeditions to the most far-flung destinations in Asia. However, please note that this is a long journey in a very remote region and is designed for those who are adventurous in body and spirit.
Itinerary
Day1 Arrival Kashgar
Day2 Final preparation for necessity and double-check the equipments or city tour in Kashgar
Day3 Drive to to Yilik , last Village on the way
Day4 Drive to Kirqin Bulak, where the group is on trek and Gear is hauled by Bactrian Camels, trek to Kirqin
Day5 Kirqin /Kizil Balgun
Day6 Kizil Balgun/K2 BC(Chinese BC)
Day7-11 Trek to Advanced BC or exploration around Sughet Jungle
Day12-14 Return trek to Kirqin Bulak
Day15 Drive to Yecheng
Day16 Yecheng to Kashgar, Departure
