Description

Hey all, is there anyone out there that would be want to join me for a summer 2013 climb of mount blanc?

The plan would be to go with a guide and take a basic course in the days before attempting the ascent. As some background on me, I'm 35, in good physical shape, and have done a good amount of hiking (including using crampons), but have no mountaineering experience.

If an American responds, I'd be up for flying out to your area to do a hike or two together to make sure this would work for both of us.

Hello all, I'll send direct emails to both of you (but if two people are in the discussion it may be easier to post here).

Unfortunately I can climb at any period from June through August except early July. I have to be in the US from July 1-19, and through the 26th it will also be difficult.

However, I am keen on climbing in June.

My plan is to get to chamonix on 28th june. I was planning to do mont blanc again and then onto matterhorn with a friend. Sadly he has had to drop out. I still plan to go out there and possibly meet up with a climber. What route are you planning on?

I'm afraid I'm going to need to drop out of this--I got a response from another forum for someone with a guide that needs one more person. I'll be going with them.

But it seems as though there is a good bit of interest here. Perhaps some of you could link up together?
