Trip Summary

There are two routes on the western side of the peak. The Classic Route , located on the northernmost of the two snow and glacier slopes of Muztagh Ata. It is a straight forward climb without any technical section. There are some crevasses , but in general free of any danger.
On the more southern slope on the west side, there is the much less used traditional route. It is slightly longer , but equally easy. The crevasses danger lower, but as it is used by far less climbers. Snow shoes or skies are recommended as you have to battle deep snow.
The golden season for climbing this peak lasts from Mid-June to late August.

Day20 Trekking to Shubash, drive to Kashgar
