Hi,

I'm stuck with nowhere to go this weekend (my host in NYC bailed).

I was thinking of renting a car and driving up to somewhere (I don't know) and climbing this weekend. I can pay for food/gas/car rental, and I am looking for a partner with a climbing rope and draws (I only have a harness and shoes).

I can lead climb about 5.8-5.9, but I can't lead trad.

I was planning on sleeping in the car but if you have a tent that's even better.

My problem is mainly that I know nothing about this area or anyone I could go with, and research is hard at such short notice.
