Hi,
I am planning on arriving in Peru mid August 2013. My plan is make my way to Huaraz, do some acclimatization treks, then hopefully go for some easy/less technical summits. I hope to spend 6 weeks in Peru. Two weeks will be spent learning Spanish in Cusco. Then I will make my way down to Argentina. No fixed agenda, but will probably spend some time around Mendoza and then Bariloche. Would love to meet up with some folks for rock climbing, mountaineering and trekking. Just trying to figure out what gear I'm taking with me....
Have done 2 - 5000+m climbs, 1 - 3400m, and several 2400m. Lead ice up to WI3, lead sport 5.10a, lead trad 5.7 (I hope to be more comfortable leading harder routes by August). Any suggestions on backpacking/traveling light with climbing gear appreciated :)
