Description

My schedule changed at the last minute and I now find myself free to go to the Sierra this weekend (June 16 and 17). I am located in the SF Bay Area. I am interested in day hikes of Sierra peaks and prefer not to climb alone. My climbing background is fairly broad (class 1 to 5, snow, rock, ice, scree, talus), mostly focused on the Sierras over the past 15 or so years. Drop me a message if anybody would like to discuss further.

Jim CarrCan't this weekend, but...
I'm interested in climbing the east ridge of Mt Russell some weekend in July or August. I'm not really interested in climbing anything too radical these days, but I'm itching to get to the High Sierra and this route looks right for me. Like you, I prefer not to climb alone even though the route is non-technical, with few route-finding challenges and could probably be soloed easily enough. It's a good drive from the Bay Area, so would probably be an overnight (or 2-night) trip. Let me know if you're interested in talking about it.

I would be interested in Mt. Russell this summer. I will send you an e-mail.
