Hello! I am looking for partners for ski or splitboard touring in the Alps (mostly Switzerland) for the 2010-2011 winter.

I'm a photographer and split-boarder usually based in Ouray, Colorado, but I am spending the entire 2010-2011 winter in the Alps. I have leased an apartment in Engelberg, Switzerland from January - April (mainly because it's the closest place to my girlfriend in Freiburg). Before then I will have a car and am able to cruise around wherever. I am also open to going to other areas (by train) during the winter as well.

I don't have any roped-climbing or glacier expertise, but I have lots of experience backcountry snowboarding/splitboarding in avy terrain, and hiking couloirs in the spring. As a splitboarder in the San Juans I go out with skiers all the time and there's no problem there, though of course I do prefer tours with solid ascents/descents rather than ones with lots of ups and downs.

Anyhow, it seems like it is shaping up to be a good winter, and I'd love to get out for some nice backcountry lines.
