Roaring River - Log Crossing

Due to the storms/flood last year there is no longer a bridge over the Roaring River. This log crossing is now in place and is less than 25 feet from where the trail meets the river. Hope this helps, for anyone interested in getting to Ypsilon Lake, Spectacle Lakes or Donner or Blitzen Ridge.

Went by here yesterday and while it's still roaring, it has come down a bit.

Hope you had better weather than we did on our day to Spectacle Lakes! Where did you head to?

Weather was probably a little better than what you had. I just went up about 4 miles, to the big cascade. Training hike for the Winds.

Log crossing is still there and water level was more or less the same as the original pic.
Also there is a bigger tree downed further up the river that can be crossed as well.
