Hi,
I went last week end around Donner pass and I think that in a couple of weeks, that is the kick-off for the ski season! I love backcountry skiing :-) i.e. to put the skins under the skis with a headlamp and then to see the sunrise while ascending; last but not least, a good descent in fresh snow (care avalanches! for that purpose, I have all the equipments but going alone is never a good thing... I would like to practise with other people to minimize the risk).
Anybody interested? I can go in Saturday or Sunday every week end. Carpool from around Sacramento to lake Tahoe possible :-)
