Description
I am looking to establish a relationship with either another novice climber or experienced climber who is interested in alpine ascents in CO and WY. I am 26 yo male in reasonably good shape. My previous climbing experience is limited. 10 years ago I attended a mountain school in the Wind Rivers, but since then I've let school get in the way of my education. I am comfortable with the principles of ropes, belaying, and protection, but need to put these into practice.
I've been in CO for just over a year, but my work schedule is finally coming around to allow me time to pursue climbing. Safety is a priority, and to that end I am going to invest in a mountaineering class at CMS in August (btw what do people think of these?). My preference is that any other beginner interested also consider making this investment. My goal is to start with scrambles and work my way up to snow routes and increasingly technical climbs. I aspire to be a sound mixed climber.
