Description
hello all,
im new to this website and i'm in search of a climbing partner. i'll keep this post brief and if you are interested, give me a call and lets talk some more.
I work as a firefighter, so my schedule is pretty flexible. prefer to climb during weekdays, but weekends work too...just like to avoid crowds...
my next major climb i'm attempting is mt foraker in alaska this may 2013. i'm doing it guided as i cant seem to find any climbing partners who are interested in doing it, plus, my experience probably isnt quite up there to do it safely.
i think people seem to "fluff" up their resumes on here, but mine is quite modest here's where i'm at
I feel comfortable leading 5.7ish trad, and comfortable following 5.9ish...
various ice routes climbed back east on mt washington and surrounding areas (grew up there and visit every winter to climb, still have family there) WI3-WI4
climbed the Kautz on mt rainier this year (guided, although it was very easy)
looking to get into backcoutry riding as well, used to race snowboards on the us snowboard team, just recently purchased my 1st split board and looking to take some trips this year
i have all my own gear
very safe and practical, i do this for fun and i dont want to get hurt...but accept the risks and willing to push my limits...
i'm open to anyone with some experience, i learn new things on every trip, looking for someone interested in multi day trips in winter conditions...
my wife rock climbs as well, she just hates the cold, so we take trips out to jtree, tahquitz, tuolumne meadows often, feel free to come along with us.
if your interested in knowing more, feel free to email me or call me 310.200.2461
hope to hear from you
nick
