I'm planning to climb Aconcagua in Nov/Dec 2012 via the Polish Glacier Traverse (False Polish Route, my preference) or the Normal Route. My preference would be to start the climb when the season opens (arrive in Mendoza a few days before Nov 15 in order to be in the park on the first day). Unfortunately, I'm fairly constrained to dates between November and Christmas of this year. I have moderate/beginner mountaineering experience and fairly extensive winter backpacking experience. Would prefer to do the trip as light and as fast as would be appropriate for the acclimatization required (I live at sea level), but am fairly flexible. Please send me a note if you think our schedules might line up.
