Description

First off, no flakes please (except for snow and rock flakes). Interested in climbing, mostly weekends, occasional Friday and Mondays. Skill 5.9-11 trad routes. Joshua Tree, Taquitz, Sierras. Looking for 1 or 2 focused partners for the long haul. Doesn't need to be climbing every weekend, but consistent. Good natured folks preferred with trad leading experience. I'm in L.A. area.

Any good climbs yet this summer? All I have gotten in so far is the Northwest face of Mt Haeckel.

cybeleHi-

cybele

I am looking to expand my partner base after some changes this year, and my ideal also would be a partner I look foward to going out with again and again. I am in the east SF Valley. I am a very experienced all-around climber, into multi-pitch waterfall ice and Yos walls in addition to free rock and long mountain routes. I am not the strongest athlete, but a reliable and technically expert partner, experienced in emergencies and the dark and all that good stuff. I used to be a little stronger, led up to 11a sport and WI 4+ a couple years ago, but am looking for trad, ice, aid, and alpine partners now at a fairly moderate level... I've led 5.9 crack at Suicide and Josh but don't expect it this year from me...I am recovering from a hand injury. I would be happy to be leading 5.7 and 5.8, or following harder. I have followed 10c trad clean but honestly I am not in shape to follow 11s. I am happy to quickly jumar pitches above my level to facilitate multipitch routes -- in fact I did just this last month on one pitch of a 6 pitch ice climb, because my hand injury was hurting and I didn't feel I should climb another WI5 pitch. If you think we can find a way to work together, I would welcome hearing from you! Perhaps we can climb together when you don't have a stronger partner lined up?

Email me if you are interested. I could even use a partner for this weekend...I have a couple days at Josh planned and nobody for tomorrow there!

Hi there - don't know if you're still looking for partners, but I sure am. Joshua Tree, Red Rocks, Eastside and local stuff too.
