Description

Hi All,

I've been hiking & climbing out of San Diego since about 2004, with a goal of completing the 50 state highpoints (36/50 so far). I do a lot of training climbs in the LA area (Baldy, Gorgonio, Jacinto), and have interest in some San Diego county, Sierra, and out-of-state climbs as well. I've done a lot solo, but am advancing to climbs I would prefer to do with a partner. However, it's been tough to find interested people in San Diego. Generally I don't do anything over class 3, but am interested in glacial ropework. I usually climb on weekends every 2-3 weeks.

Currently I'm most interested in finding someone interested in bagging Mt. Williamson & Tyndall over labor day weekend (2012). This would involve camping above Shepherd pass, then climbing Williamson (West Face) & Tyndall (NW Ridge) on successive days. Also interested in Gannett Peak, WY in summer 2013.

Let me know if anyone is interested!
-Dave

Hi Rebecca -

Sorry for the delayed reply. While I use SP regularly, it's been a while since I actually logged in and checked messages.

I did make an attempt on Gannett with a friend in July '13, but he had some physical issues around 12k and we had to retreat. I'm going to be climbing it again this summer, but unsure if my friends will have solid availability. If I can't find anyone for the attempt, I may go guided with JHMG.

Since it's been a while, have you summited Gannett yet?
