I try to get up to the Gunks once a week. I freelance, so I usually have at least one or two weekdays off. Let me know if you're interested in planning a trip for next week sometime. bill.lucia@gmail.com

Hey gcap! I have been looking for partners to do suff backpacking and climbing with. I want to try ice climbing this winter. I do have to say that I have not done a great deal of climbing. I do allot of winter backpacking and have done Mount washungton in the winter. But that is where my experience lays.I want some people to go with to learn to be roped up so I can do more difficult routes. I want to do one of those ems ice climbing courses. I have lots of gear for the winter. My mountain bike race season is over so I got plenty of time to go. NO WIFE OR KIDS! Just a dog. .......Paul.

Hey I am interested in a winter mountaineering/hiking trip in the ADK's over long weekends or holidays. I have no experience with roped climbing but am an avid hiker and am in good shape! mshoenthal@gmail.com

jaymieholidays ice climbing?

hey gcap, and anyone else, im planning on spending a few weeks in the daks and white mountains doing classic ice and alpine climbs. im more focused on the white mountains and want to spend a lot of time in tuckerman and huntington ravines, as well as cannon cliff and willeys slide. I can lead ice and rock and build anchors well and i consider myself safe to climb with. i have experience simul-climbing on vertical rock and easy ice. i have done mountains in the Alps and south america as well as in the western US. hit me up at jaymie.brower@usma.edu if you are interested.

thanks

My wife and I have been having several successes in winter backpacking and have been upping the ante each time. We're into mountaineering and as such, could use some company in places like Huntington Ravine and Keene Valley. If there's any room left for us, we're planning a New Year's Eve trip to Gorham (eve) and Huntington Ravine (Thus/Fri/Sat). PM if you're interested.

Matt, wish I had seen this sooner - did you make it to NH this weekend?

Just got back. We had an awesome weather day bookended by two days full of the the awesome fury of Mt. Washington. No real technical climbing to speak of (ice is awesome, but snow is scarce) but we did summit by way of the Lion's Head. Can't wait to get back out there! Got your email, and we'll definitely do some climbs. I've met a few more online, some new, some with experience. Sounds like great possibilities for all involved. I'll be in touch.

I'm trying to find anybody who'd be up for Mt. Washington in January/February. Lots of gym climbers in DC but can't seem to find any mountaineers. You got any plans for Mt. Washington? You want in on any plans for Mt. Washington?
