Since moving to California I've discovered that I'm addicted to the Sierra. At the moment I'm limited to class 2-3 scrambling and I'd like to broaden my horizons. I really want to learn technical skills on rock so I can climb more interesting stuff outdoors, but I need to find an experienced climber who's willing to teach me the basics...

Anyone want a belay slave? I can carry stuff and buy beer too! All you have to do is let me watch and learn.

I can climb about 5.9 indoors for what that's worth. I've been toproping a few times. I've taken a short anchor building class but I don't trust my skills at the moment.

I'm a graduate student, so I'm flexible about when I climb, but I try to work a 9-5 schedule.
