Description

I am kicking around attempting Whitney up the MR before the permit season kicks in May 1st, over the last weekend in April (28-30). I would probably head up there on Friday and return late on Sunday. I do not have a mountaineering tent but have everything else. I live in San Francisco but would meet people from anywhere in Whitney Portal for the climb. I'll be in good shape from attempting Rainier two weeks previous and would expect the same from you.

	I'm interested in doing Whitney via MR also. I've only done it on the main trail during the summer. Have you done it before during the winter season? I'm just wondering if you know what to expect and know how to navigate the route becuase I don't.
