Description

Looking for climbers to join Xuelian Feng 2011 expedition
From 4.7.2011 to 11.8.2011 four Slovenian climbers are organizing an expedition to Xuelian Feng massive in China, Eastern part of Tien Shan.

The members are: Aleš Holc (expedition leader), Tadej Krišelj, Peter Juvan and Igor Kremser. All members are experienced climbers with many climbed routes in Slovenia, Alps, Andes, Tien Shan, Himalaya, and Karakoram.

The objectives are quite similar to those from Bruce Normand team from 2009:

Our plan is to climb new roots in satellites of Xuelian Feng.
The expedition was initially planned for 6-8 people, which would represent optimal logistics/costs compromise. Since there was no other interested climbers from Slovenia we decide to invite independent climbing parties from other countries. Additional members would not only decrease expedition costs per person, which are estimated to 2100/1900/1650€ in case of four/six/eight persons (38 days costs in China), respectively , but also increase the feasibility of climbing more demanding routes and contribute to a social aspect of the expedition.
All four members have already booked their flights with Aeroflot Airline Company from Zagreb, Croatia, to Urumqi, China, via Moscow, Russia, on the above-written dates. Additionally, our agent has already paid for a climbing permit in Xuelian Feng region, which is valid for up to 11 climbers.
If you are interested in joining us, please contact the leader Aleš Holc by mail: ales.holc@siol.net.
