"GLORIOUS REFLECTION"-SAINT MARY'S LAKE-GLACIER NATIONAL PARK-MT

A "Glorious Reflection" of Mount Fusillade in a mirror-like St. Mary's Lake. The wonders of Glacier national Park appear in both expected and un-expected places. Wild Goose Island appears as if it were a sailing ship becalmed in still waters. Due to the proximity and orientation of the mountains, this lake is NEVER still. To catch this mirror effect was a real treat. It was on one shot deal, insofar as all subsequent visits found the lake to be rough with wind related whitecaps. This image was taken in the end of July, 2008 with a Nikon D80.
