Ground-level view of one of the agave species in central Arizona - the Sotol or Desert Spoon. Once you get past its amazing
symmetry, you can see the 'serrated edges' on the leaves and fibers used by indegious people
to weave baskets. Some sotols are actually used
to make an intoxicating drink similiar to tequila.
