"KINTLA LAKE"-GATEWAY TO THE NORTH-GLACIER NATIONAL PARK-MT

"Kintla Lake"-A destination that has always stirred my imagination. The trip from the Lake MacDonald Lodge was interesting. We started in Apgar, took the Camas highway to the junction, followed by the outer North Fork Truck road (dirt/gravel) to Polebridge. If you have not gone to the Mercantile in Polebridge, take the trip. We then drove 22 additional miles (dirt) to the lakehead. Kintla Lake, with Long Knife and the Boundary Peaks above, is a beautiful blue lake, and the access point to the Boulder/Brown Pass trail. This image was taken in late July, 2008, with a Nikon D80.
