Theodulo hut (3317m) is...

Theodulo hut (3317m) is placed on the Theodulo pass which separates Matterhorn/Cervino group from Breithorn group.

Although Matterhorn is visually not far hut cannot be used for summit attempt, it is too far from the foot for that, so strategically it is a nice base for the peaks between Breithorn and Lyskamm.

Hut looks good from the outside but inside it is in quite bad state and is leaning towards Swiss side, especially the staircase. Waking up on the Theodul glacier would not be much of a surprise! Views from the hut are fantastic!
