il 2 Luglio 1967 ho aperto una variante, insieme a Renato Casali e Franco Celegato, sulla parete Est del Torrione 3630/40 metri circa (quello a sinistra sulla Cresta Sudest) onde evitare il canalone che scaricava già allora. In discesa, nella baraonda generale sotto un forte temporale, il prof. Enzo Cimino del CAI di Aosta, venne colpito da un masso al rene; fu soccorso correndo al Rifugio Torino a prendere il toboga da Ilario Antonio Garzotto e compagni che erano usciti dalla Parete Nord, che a quei tempi la moderna attrezzatura non aveva ancora svilito ...
