22º Sun Halo

22º Sun Halo

A sun halo, jet contrails and their shadows photographed on a high overcast day in the south Okanagan. What looks like the upper and lower tangent arcs is actually a circumscribed halo since the sun was higher than 29 degrees in the sky. The sun's parhelic circle can also faintly be seen. There might even be a rare or infrequently seen one in there. I will have to learn more. www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/circum.htm
