25 year snow and ice comparison

My friend just got back from the Khumbu and took a picture of the same mountain I had a picture of from 1987. I thought I would post them together to show how the snow and ice cover has deteriorated in 25 years. Lower picture Paul Rogers

about the same time frame. I saw a more recent photo of Ama Dablam and was shocked to see that the lower glacier was, for the most part, gone.

It`s funny how people discount global warming.I know that glaciers recede and advance but I do believe this is the slow in human time fast in glacial time effect of global warming. Cheers
