2nd gate

There are 2 gates in open=public section of the Lavender Canyon. There are no locks on those, more for control of cow traffic. Please close the gate after you drive through. The 3rd gate is the one at 14.6 miles, which marks the entry into the Canyonlands National Park. The 3rd gate is locked. I did not post photo of the first gate since it is a boring iron gate visible from the highway 211. The 2nd gate is pretty, there is an old corral next to it, and cliffs of Indian Creek in the distance.
