Looking down from the summit to the Deadfalls, it's pretty much straight down.
The low point on the left ridgeline, near the top of the picture, is the Mt.Eddy saddle. Going left over the saddle takes you down the Sisson-Callahan trail to Lake Siskiyou and going right will,of course , take you to the lakes and then the "crossroads".
