Attracting

Beautiful...and tempting pictures. I would be very interested in knowing which route you took to reach the mountain and getting information on the nature of the climb of the summit itself (looks like a large snowfield until the top) and on the intensity of the control of the area by Chinese authorities (be it PSB or Parks' officials)Many thanks for the information!

Re: Attracting

There are some more info on this page:
http://www.summitpost.org/route/447151/kangzhagri-first-ascent-route.html
Basically, we arrived from the north via Ayakkum, Aqqikkol and Yinyu Lakes. Hard to explain the route in detail as there are so many detours along the way.
The climb itself was very straight forward the way we went. Any other route on the peak is way more difficult as there are long unstable, corniced ridges and icefalls and crevasses. Also the last part to the summit is also very steep from all other directions. The intensity of control has become very high nowadays I've heard. The Arjin (Altun) Shan, Kekexili and Chang Tang national parks are now very well protected by rangers. PSB isn't a problem in this case.
