A friendly ? bear

I ran into (almost literally) this fellow on the Ouzel Lake Trail. Ouzel Creek was a raging torrent, blocking out all noise, I was downwind from him, and when I came around a corner, we were about 30" away from each other! Luckily for me, he was a "good" bear who was terrified of humans, and ran away as quickly as he could. July, 2011.
