Nice list

Some interesting books here Augie, I'll have to look into some of them soon.

Last summer I read this book, The Longest Walk by Slavomir Rawicz, which tells the true story (although there has been some quetions about its verasity) group of gulag inmates escape from Siberia over the Himalya to India. I think you might like it.

Cheers
Dan

Re: Nice list

Thanks for your note Dan. I have read "The Longest Walk" and consider it one of the most incredible adventure stories ever. Right up there with it is "The Worst Journey in the World" by Apsley Cherry-Garrard about Robert Scott's last expedition to the South Pole. Now, those were tough, tough men!

Regards,
Augie

Re: Nice list

This list also reminded me of the "The Long Walk." I love this topic and will look them up in the library. Thanks for the info.
