A Typical Desecration

This amphitheater is built around the historic entrance to Carlsbad Caverns. When the bats are in town, everyone sits here at dusk and watches the bats fly out of the Bat Cave. (That's the real name of one of the side caverns.) The bats weren't there when I was, but I'd be tempted to jump up and run down to the entrance yelling, "To the Bat Cave!" January 2010.
