A view down from the ridge...

A view down from the ridge looking into Deer Canyon. In late fall the gate is open so a good 4wheel drive can take you all the way to the trailhead instead of walking the entire stretch of road from the base of the mountain.

Hmmm

They haven't opened this road since the grand prix fire. I wonder if it will be up again anytime soon?
