A view in the direction from Roppeviller (France).

This photo was taken from the southern summit of the very long Altschlossfels. Already situated in Germany, this site is the longest rocky formation, for all the Palatinate sector : exceptionnal, unical ! With a total development of 1450 meters (with only one interruption ! ), is the Altschlossfels considerated as the most famous and remarkable nature-monument, in all the Palatinate ! This small view, between the dark and savage forest, is showing you the very romantical and isolated village of Roppeviller (this one is still localised in France, not in Germany). Between the villages of Haspelschiedt and Roppeviller, you will find the military area of Bitche ! Warning, it's totally forbidden to penetrate this private and restricted area : you can have too much problems if you are doing this ! Money-punitions, prison pains, and death at the highest and critical stade ! So, don't walking on the delimitations between the two countries (France in the south, and Germany in the north) ... To the best, you have to stay in Germany (north), because in France (south), the military area of Bitche is directly beginning after the delimitations ! There are several excellently marked ways and paths, for accessing very easely, at the Altschlossfels rocky formation (village of Eppenbrunn) !
