Above St. Hieronim

We are descending from Nanos by the longer route to Razdrto. It deters left over the edge above the cute church of St. Hieronim, but we are going also down to the church. Centuries ago it was quite famous. Noblemen from Trieste were providing annually big quantities of oil, and Abram, the nearby farmer was in charge that there was all the time light in the church. So, sailors, arriving to Trieste could navigate there safely. The distance from the coast is more than 30 km. January 2nd, 2019.
